On Thursday, March 9, 2016, H.E Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce, met with delegations from the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), led by Mr. Kwon Pyung-oh, CEO of KOTRA.

In the beginning, the H.E Minister expressed his pleasure to the arrival of His Excellency Mr. Moon Jae-in, President of the Republic of Korea, who was on a state visit to Cambodia, accompanied by Mr. Kwon Pyong Oh. . The Minister hopes that the presence of the President of this advanced country will strengthen the confidence of Korean business people to have more confidence in political stability in Cambodia as well as further investment in Cambodia. He is optimistic that the business forum between Cambodia and Korea will be jointly organized during this important visit will attract more direct foreign direct investment from Korea and encourage Korean companies to study and find Cambodian companies to trade together.

In Repsonse, Mr. Kwon Pyong Oh thanked the Minister for accepting his meeting now. Mr. Kwon also said that trade between the two countries would be even stronger after the state visit was over. In addition, his agency will continue to cooperate well with the Ministry of Commerce as well as other business communities to strengthen and attract more investors to Cambodia.
